A civil project focuses on infrastructure and external works such as drainage services, earthworks, pavements and utilities. SCE civil projects are delivered with documented controls, clear site coordination and practical construction methodology.

A Job Safety Analysis identifies hazards and sets controls before work starts. It supports safe delivery across building projects and civil projects by reducing risk, improving site consistency and helping workers understand the required control measures.

A Safe Work Method Statement sets out the task steps, hazards and controls for high-risk construction work. SWMS documentation is used across SCE Projects to keep building projects and civil projects compliant and safe where high-risk construction activities apply.

The SWMS checklist confirms the SWMS is current, understood and followed on site. It helps maintain consistent controls across SCE Projects for both building projects and civil projects.

Subcontractors may need to provide SWMS, site-specific assessments, inductions, toolbox records, insurance certificates, licences, permits, contractor safety records and other WHS documentation before starting work. Requirements depend on the project scope and risk profile.
