Three management disciplines
SCE’s ISO-certified Integrated Management System covers Civil and Building Construction across quality, environmental management and occupational health and safety. These disciplines guide the project planning, inspections and records used by the delivery team.
Quality management
Project controls may include inspection and test plans, hold points, checklists, test results, non-conformance records, corrective actions and completion documentation.
Work health and safety
SCE matches supervision to the work’s risks and gives workers and supervisors authority to stop work when a safety concern needs assessment. Structural alterations require the relevant temporary-support, sequence and engineering checks before the affected work proceeds. Inductions, risk assessments, SWMS where required and clear site instructions turn the planned controls into actions the team understands.
Environmental management
Relevant project risks may be addressed through site planning and documented controls for matters such as erosion, waste, hazardous materials, noise and vibration.

Records and responsibilities
SCE establishes responsibility for connected work before the packages are released. Survey, levels, design information, temporary works and acceptance of preceding work are addressed early so each contractor understands what they receive, what they must deliver and what records support the agreed warranties and handover.
Clients receive the proposed material or finish, its practical advantages and limitations, and the decision required. Agreed selections and changes are recorded and passed to the site team. This gives everyone a common reference when questions arise later.

Responsibility boundary: SCE System does not replace the responsibilities of clients, consultants, designers, certifiers, registered practitioners, subcontractors or other duty holders. Where the NSW Design and Building Practitioners framework applies, project controls support documentation and coordination without transferring statutory responsibilities.

Before engagement and mobilisation, SCE may review capability, commercial requirements, relevant licences and insurance, WHS information and quality requirements according to the work package and project risks.
