    SCE restored 20 apartments affected by water damage across 16 levels. The works included flooring in 17 units, ceiling repairs, joinery and building services, with resident access and relocation requirements coordinated during delivery from July to November 2019.

    Does SCE’s experience include vehicle-impact damage and major reconstruction?

    Yes. SCE’s Villawood major works include engineering design, temporary structural support, authority liaison for ROL and brickwork. The overall reconstruction remains in progress.

    Yes. The Haymarket project demonstrates SCE’s delivery across 20 apartments in a multi-storey residential building, coordinating interdependent repair works, access and resident requirements. SCE’s wider portfolio also includes strata and insurance repair programmes.

    SCE’s qualified engineering team and experienced builders provide building assessment, construction planning, trade coordination and project delivery. Engineering certification and building certification are delivered through appropriately appointed registered practitioners where required by the project scope.

    How can I arrange urgent make-safe or remedial work?

    Contact SCE with the property location, known damage, immediate hazards, access details and any existing reports or instructions. Our Emergency Remedial Building Works service provides the relevant make-safe and urgent building repair capability.

    How are the insurance and construction responsibilities managed?

    SCE assesses, plans and delivers the appointed construction and repair scope, including relevant engineering and certification services through registered practitioners. Claim coverage and insurer approvals are managed by the insurer and its appointed representatives, with the construction requirements coordinated through the project.

    What should I provide to discuss an insurance repair project?

    Send the site address, photographs or reports describing the damage, proposed repair scope, insurer or loss-adjuster instructions, access requirements and target dates. Include any resident, tenant or operational constraints so SCE can plan the assessment and delivery approach.
