Storm damage · Grays Point NSW
SCE delivered a substantial make-safe package for NRMA Insurance at a storm-damaged boat shed in Grays Point. The works brought together fallen-tree removal, asbestos removal and disposal, temporary wall and roof propping, gradual roof removal and debris removal.
The assignment involved supporting the remaining structure while dismantling the damaged roof and removing the affected materials.

SCE’s work covered the fallen tree, asbestos, temporary support, damaged roof structure and debris. These elements formed one coordinated make-safe package for the storm-damaged building.

Removal and disposal of asbestos was a defined part of SCE’s make-safe package. This work sat alongside structural support and roof removal within the overall assignment for NRMA Insurance.
SCE temporarily propped the walls and roof structure and gradually removed the roof structure. The temporary support and dismantling work addressed the damaged boat shed as the roof was taken down.
The photographs record the damaged roof, wall support, removal of roof materials and debris handling. The final view shows the remaining walls after the roof was removed, with temporary support still in place.
This project demonstrates SCE’s ability to combine structural support, asbestos removal and dismantling within a substantial make-safe scope.
