How SCE delivers painting works

1. Enquiry and evidence review

We review the property, surfaces, required outcome, photographs, available reports, access and programme.

2. Inspection and scope definition

The substrate condition, preparation, repairs, protection and coating system are defined before pricing. Further investigation is identified where moisture, corrosion or concealed defects affect the proposed finish.

3. Planning and coordination

Access, safety, occupation, adjoining finishes, sequencing and any specialist or consultant requirements are coordinated.

4. Delivery and close-out

Works are completed against the agreed scope, with inspections and close-out information suited to the contract.

Agree the finish and handover standard

Set the preparation, primer and coating system by surface, then agree colours, sheen and any sample area before the main application. Where painting follows leak repairs, plastering or joinery work, confirm that the underlying work is ready for coating and that later trades will not damage the completed finish.

At handover, retain the product and colour references, areas treated, relevant preparation records and care instructions, together with any agreed touch-ups. A documented finish schedule makes later maintenance and matching more reliable than relying on a colour name alone.

Artarmon office renovation

The Artarmon office renovation combined plastering and painting with new flooring, decorative cladding, signage, lighting and electrical upgrades, and CCTV. Before-and-after reception and meeting-room photographs show the renewed finishes within the wider workplace refurbishment.

Cessnock property upgrades

At the Cessnock residential property, SCE completed interior painting, bathroom repainting, exterior painting and maintenance alongside flooring replacement and door-hardware work. The photographs show the changed bathroom finishes and renewed front and side entrances.
