SCE works across building, civil, remedial and refurbishment contexts. Each project still requires its own scope, parties, approval pathway, technical inputs and contract. A broad capability profile should never be used as a substitute for confirming who is responsible for design, certification, construction, specialist trades and statutory functions on the exact job.

The delivery approach begins by translating an objective into controlled work packages. That means understanding the existing condition, access, interfaces, safety constraints, documentation, programme and required evidence before the site team is expected to deliver. Where specialist engineering, design or certification is required, the relevant role and responsibility must be identified for that project.

How ISO-certified management systems support delivery

SCE maintains certifications to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. These certifications relate to quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems. They provide an organisational framework for controls and continual improvement; they do not mean that every project condition, design or outcome is automatically certified.

ISO 9001

Supports quality-management processes such as document control, responsibilities, inspection planning, nonconformance handling and review. The project still needs clear acceptance criteria and evidence.

ISO 14001

Supports environmental-management processes, including identifying relevant aspects, controls and improvement actions. Project-specific requirements depend on the site, activities and approvals.

ISO 45001

Supports occupational health and safety management. Safe delivery also depends on current risk controls, consultation, competent workers, supervision and the conditions encountered on site.

Defined scope

Drawings, specifications, schedules, exclusions and interfaces are aligned so the delivery team knows what is included and how completion will be assessed.

Responsibility mapping

Design, approvals, procurement, temporary works, inspections and closeout responsibilities are assigned to the appropriate parties rather than left as assumptions.

Programme logic

Access, lead times, dependencies, shutdowns, approvals and hold points are reflected in the sequence. A date has meaning only when the prerequisites are understood.

Site controls

Safety, environmental, quality and protection measures are matched to the work area, occupants, neighbouring assets and current site conditions.

Building and civil work need different technical inputs
